Description:

Each handcrafted sculptural instrument houses a unique interior architecture that generates specific sound vibrations. Employing specific materials, the scale of a resonating chamber within each sculpture, etc., these instruments emulate the diverse soundscapes of Taiwan. A compilation of sounds represents my impression of Taiwan, my hometown. The instrument's intuitive design encourages immediate exploration and improvisation during the performance.
